This year NSAIDD Day celebrates our 10th anniversary Canadian Youth Against Impaired Driving (CYAID) was formed in 1990 as an effort
to unite impaired driving related youth initiatives across Canada. CYAID membership includes over 25,000 Canadian youth. The
image above shows a group of students in New Brunswick who came together to celebrate 18+ years of CYAID. In 1999 all the delegates at the Canadian Youth Against Impaired Driving (CYAID) conference felt they
needed to have a national day of action, and from that conversation the creation of National Students Against Impaired
Driving (NSAID) day was born.
Since 1999, National Students Against Impaired Driving has expanded to new heights
and in 2006 we added an extra “D”. The extra “D” represents distractions as it is a reality and impacts the lives of many Canadian students.
This year we
celebrate the 10th anniversary of National Students Against Impaired and Distracted Driving Day (NSAIDD Day) , this movement has spread across the country and we hope you join us on Tuesday October 21st 2008
as we celebrate Canadian students who are committed to ending impaired and distracted driving.
